Predator Park Tours

The predator park tour focusses on big cats and other predators such as wild dog, hyena and crocodile. Even though this can’t be guaranteed, witnessing a kill in the wild is as simply fascinating.

Walking Safaris

Exploring the bush on foot will give you a more intense experience in many ways. With your knowledgeable guide you will learn the details that make the unique environment of the Pilanesberg work. On foot you will discover things that are easily overlooked on game drives. You guide will introduce you to different types of vegetation, insects, birds and the unique overlaps between the Kalahari and the Lowveld. Encountering big game on foot will give you a new appreciation for the size and grace of the African wildlife. Even short hikes and bush walks can give you a different picture of the environment the Big 5 live in.

Spa

Health and beauty spas are a popular feature in luxury safari lodges. Set in a pristine environment with calming views you can spend the afternoons getting pampered. The time between morning and evening game drives is ideal to treat your mind and body

Game Drives

Morning and evening game drives are the standard at most lodges. Morning game drives are usually preceded by hot beverages and rusks and are followed by a hearty breakfast. Evening game drives are often combined with sundowners and after sunset nocturnal creatures can be seen. The cool hours of dawn and dusk are ideal for game viewing as the wildlife is more active.

Quad Bikes

A quad bike is a great way to get around in rough terrain. Quad bike tours are accompanied by expert guides and are suitable even for the complete novice. Enjoy the sense of adventure as you race through beautiful scenery with the wind in your face

Archery

Try your hand at this ancient art. Archery is a sport of precision and concentration. The guides will show you how best to use the power generated by the bow. Hitting bull’s eye is a rewarding feeling.

Birding Safaris

You have to witness the diversity of Southern Africa’s birdlife to believe it. Take your binoculars and camera to spot some of the more than 300 bird species in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The large raptors are fascinating, but the detail and colour of the smaller species are no less intriguing.

Photographic Safaris

The Big 5 were once the most dangerous and prestigious species to hunt. However, shooting wildlife images has long overtaken game hunting in popularity. Today game vehicles will set out specifically to capture Africa’s animals. The rangers and guides are not only knowledgeable about the fauna and flora, but are passionate photographers themselves, always eager to assist you in getting the perfect image.
